Project Background
This project involved tiling work in a busy pub environment, including floor tiling, restroom tiling, and kitchen wall tiling. The work was required to be completed within a tightly compressed schedule to meet the client’s operational deadlines.
Challenges Faced
Our team had to operate alongside multiple trades—plumbers, gyprockers, electricians, painters, and others—within a limited timeframe and shared worksite. This created scheduling conflicts and increased the complexity of tile installation.
Solution & Result
To minimise disruption and streamline the process, we coordinated with the construction company and implemented a split-shift strategy. Tiles were measured and cut off-site at our warehouse during the day, then installed at night to avoid interference with other trades. This efficient scheduling and teamwork enabled us to complete the project one week ahead of schedule, while maintaining our high standards of workmanship.
